Ceiling fans for rooms that need moving air
A ceiling fan will not replace a failing air conditioner, but it makes a dry room feel more comfortable and takes load off a system that is already working hard through Treasure Coast summers. We hang fans on boxes rated for the weight and motion — not on a light fixture box that was never meant for a fan.

Fan-rated boxes only
A light fixture box is not a fan box. We replace undersized boxes before we hang weight that spins through storm season.

Fans help comfort, not a dead AC
Moving air feels better. It does not fix a clogged drain or a failed compressor. Say if the room is also clammy.

Wet-rated outdoors
Porch and patio fans need wet- or damp-rated hardware. Cheap indoor fans outdoors fail early on the Treasure Coast.
What we check before we hang one
Ceiling structure, box rating, wire capacity, and whether a remote or wall control fits the switch location. Vaulted ceilings and porch fans need the right downrod and wet-rated hardware outdoors.
If the existing box is only rated for a light, we replace it. Skipping that step is how fans wobble free in a storm-season wind through an open window.
Fans and humidity
Moving air helps comfort. It does not dry a clammy house if the AC drain is clogged or the system short-cycles. If the room feels wet, say so — we may end on the AC side of the ticket as well.

Can you install a fan where there is only a light today?
Usually yes, if we can set a fan-rated box and the circuit can handle it. We confirm that before the fan is purchased when you ask us to supply it.
